Atty. Guzman earned his Bachelor of Science in Applied Economics and Master’s Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from De La Salle University–Manila, and his Juris Doctor from the Ateneo de Manila Law School. He also received training in real estate due diligence from global law firm DLA Piper LLC in Chicago, Illinois.

He served in the Philippine Government as Assistant Secretary at the Office of the President from 2017 to 2021 under the Office of the Chief Presidential Legal Counsel. He was likewise a consultant, with the rank of Director, at the Governance Commission for GOCCs.

Drawing from his background in business, finance, and government relations, Atty. Guzman advises local and multinational companies on corporate and business law, contracts, labor and employment, litigation, mining and natural resources, and government relations. His practice includes appellate work before the Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court.

He currently heads the Firm’s Litigation and Special Projects Groups.
